Professor Lucas Pinheiro was born on February 11, 1994, in Manaus, Brazil. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a former competitor with the Atos Jiu-Jitsu Team. Lucas has been training, competing, and teaching with Atos Jiu-Jitsu since 2017.
He started at Atos Grand Prairie in Texas before moving to Atos HQ in San Diego, California. From 2019 to 2023, he taught at Atos HQ under Professors André and Angelica Galvão, earning 3 black belt degrees and all his major IBJJF black belt titles, including Brazilian Nationals, Pan American, European, and World Championships – in both Gi and No-Gi.
Lucas is a 2x Black Belt World Champion and one of the top athletes in the Rooster and Light-Featherweight divisions.In 2023, Lucas retired from competition after winning the IBJJF Worlds Championship. He placed his black belt on the mats to mark his retirement and relocated to Florida to open his own Jiu-Jitsu school, Atos Winter Garden.
Now, he is excited to share his knowledge and follow the Atos curriculum, continuing the Atos legacy in Florida. Lucas is also the proud father of Leticia Pinheiro, a young Jiu-Jitsu athlete with a gray-and-white belt. Leticia has trained at Atos Jiu-Jitsu HQ in San Diego and Atos Jiu-Jitsu Orlando.
Professor Lucas Pinheiro is the only Black Belt in the state of Florida who has won all the major IBJJF titles. He achieved the IBJJF Grand Slam in both Gi and No-Gi, making him one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport.
